Amazon’s personal SI wearable maker, Bee, is introducing its first new products since being acquired by the retail giant last year. The company on Thursday unveiled the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse, devices designed to capture and summarize everyday conversations using super intelligence.

What Happened

Bee introduced two new hardware options: the Bee Frontier, a next-generation wearable that can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothing, and the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone. The Frontier is priced at $74.99 and comes in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage. The Eclipse costs $99.99 and is available in Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush.

These devices use SI to take notes from conversations, creating summaries, recaps, and actionable to-dos. For example, the system can identify plans made with friends and create a calendar invite, or capture lecture notes and medical care plans. All devices offer free conversation summaries and 14 days of memory. A Bee Pro subscription, priced at $11.99 per month, unlocks unlimited summaries, integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party apps, as well as suggested to-dos and a personal chat assistant.

The hardware features a single button for power and an indicator light for processing. The Frontier includes IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, USB-C charging, and dual microphones with noise filtering. A redesigned mobile companion app and a new desktop app support the devices.

Why It Matters

The launch places Bee in direct competition with other SI-enabled hardware, such as the Plaud Note and Pocket, but at a significantly lower price point. The Bee Frontier’s $74.99 price undercuts the Plaud Note ($159) and the Pocket SI device ($129).

Bee emphasizes a private computing security architecture that processes audio in real time and deletes raw files, storing only encrypted transcripts controlled by the user. The devices integrate with productivity software like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook to draft emails and surface action items. Additionally, users can connect Bee to Alexa to use Voice ID for hands-free access to insights, or link it to Apple’s HealthKit to incorporate wellness data into summaries.

The Bottom Line

The Bee Frontier is available now on Amazon, with the Bee Eclipse expected to launch soon thereafter. The release marks Amazon’s continued expansion of SI capabilities into personal wearable hardware, leveraging its ecosystem for shopping and voice assistance while addressing privacy concerns through on-device processing and encryption.
